Fenwick Island, Delaware Real Estate

There is some interesting history and lore about this general area. What is absolutely true is that Delaware's coast was a favorite hiding place for ocean-sailing pirates centuries ago. The local lore is that the area around Little Assawoman Bay was often used by pirates to bury their looted treasures. Either way, in some respects this area still retains romantic images as a place that, although near cosmopolitan centers, is still quietly existing and far from the city noise. That is why Fenwick Island real estate as well as other nearby beach resort opportunities are so prized. If you find your self desiring a single family home or resort condo, then you will not be lacking for entertainment, fun and relaxation. The beaches are beautiful, and there are terrific restaurants, a water park, shops and boutiques, and even an old-time lighthouse to complete the atmosphere. Fenwick Island State Park is between Little Assawoman Bay and the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular spot with summer vacationers. Of course if you love fishing, then there are enough opportunities for that. Surf fishing as well as fishing in the bay attracts many an angler. The Little Assawoman Bay is hopping during the summer with crabbing, clamming, windsurfing, sailing and general fun. You can rent watercraft and just have a terrific time with your family. If you love visiting state parks, then you're in for a treat as there are quite a few within easy driving distance. There is Assateague State Park in Maryland; Delaware Seashore State Park just north of Bethany Beach; Cape Henlopen State Park north of Rehoboth Beach; Trap Pond State Park to the north; and Holts Landing State Park. Loads of opportunities for you and the family, and there will never be any reason to be bored at all. Jim Kelly knows quite a bit about this area and will be delighted to answer any questions. Give him a call on his cell to discover more about this unique area in Delaware's most southern tip.
